What is it?

Altosoft Insight Personal Edition (aka Insight PE) is a fully functional product offered by Altosoft free of charge. Insight PE is installed on a user's personal computer (laptop or desktop). It can be used to develop a web based dashboard for monitoring and analyzing business data. These dashboards incorporate dynamic, drillable flash components for crystal-clear data visualization and dimensional analysis. With Insight PE, a user can connect to and visualize data from one or many ODBC-compatible data sources, including databases like Oracle and SQL Server, Microsoft Excel, or even data warehouses.

Insight PE is not a time limited trial. Users can download Insight PE directly from this site and use it as much and as often as they choose, without any time constraint.

Insight PE represents a useful subset of the full functionality of Altosoft Insight. The key difference is that Insight PE does not include the complete back-end architecture that makes Altosoft Insight incredibly powerful and scalable, and supports Altosoft's advanced operational functionality like process analysis, incident management, and real-time data. In addition, Insight PE is limited to creation of browser-based dashboards that are limited to viewing by one user - hence, personal edition.
