Altosoft Appoints Kevin Spurway as Chief Marketing Officer

Industry Veteran to Lead International Marketing Efforts for Operational Business Intelligence Innovator

Newtown Square, PA, September 5, 2007 – Altosoft, a leading provider of operational business intelligence (OBI) solutions, today announced that Kevin Spurway has been appointed Chief Marketing Officer. In this role, Spurway is responsible for worldwide marketing and business development activities and will serve as a key contributor to the company’s product and growth strategy. Spurway will report directly to Altosoft’s founder and CEO, Scott Opitz.

Spurway has extensive marketing and product management experience in the business process management and analytics space. Prior to Altosoft, Spurway was Vice President of Marketing and Solutions for Appian Corporation, a recognized leader in the business process management (BPM) market, where he was responsible for all marketing activities, including product marketing, marketing communication, and demand generation. Spurway was an architect of Appian’s successful strategy of achieving differentiation for its BPM product by offering integrated, best-in-class analytics. He also spearheaded Appian’s solution team, which delivered BPM-based solutions for a variety of applications including Sarbanes Oxley compliance, procurement, and more.

At PTC, he helped conceptualize and bring to market process-based applications for collaborative product development and enterprise component management. Spurway is co-author of one patent under active review in the area of analytics-based business process optimization. He has also served in executive level marketing and business development positions with Rave Wireless, Inc., a leader wireless mobility solutions for higher education, and WebGen Systems, Inc., a provider of advanced software for energy conservation and control in commercial buildings. Spurway is a graduate of Dartmouth College and Harvard Law School.
