Scott Opitz
President, CEO, and Co-Founder

Scott Opitz is the President and CEO of Altosoft and is a 20 year veteran of the information technology industry. Prior to co-founding Altosoft, Scott served as Senior Vice President, Worldwide Marketing & Business Development, for webMethods (now Software AG) where he was responsible for webMethods’ marketing, business development and strategic product planning. Scott joined webMethods as a result of its acquisition of IntelliFrame Corporation, where he was CEO and co-founder. Scott has also served of Chief Technology Officer for Computer Network Technology Corporation (now Brocade) and Vice President of Advanced Technology for Conextions, Inc. He is a co-inventor on numerous patents and patent applications in the areas of mainframe integration, business process management techniques, automatic business process discovery, advanced analytics techniques and workflow. Scott received his B.S. in Chemistry from Moravian College.

Alex Elkin
Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder

Alex Elkin is a co-founder, CTO and EVP of Altosoft. Prior to starting Altosoft in conjunction with Scott Opitz, Alex was a co-founder and VP of Engineering for IntelliFrame Corporation, one of the first companies to develop a complete suite of BPM and composite application development products. After IntelliFrame's acquisition by webMethods (now Software AG), Alex spearheaded webMethods' Advanced Technology Group. Before IntelliFrame, Alex was responsible for advanced research at Computer Network Technology (now Brocade). Alex is a co-inventor on numerous patents and patent applications. He received his M.S. in Physics and Mathematics from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology.
