Scott Opitz
President, CEO, and Co-Founder
Scott Opitz is the President and CEO of Altosoft and is a 20 year veteran of the information technology industry. Prior to co-founding Altosoft, Scott served as Senior Vice President, Worldwide Marketing; Business Development, for webMethods (Nasdaq: WEBM) where he was responsible for webMethods’ marketing, business development and strategic product planning. Scott joined webMethods as a result of its acquisition of IntelliFrame Corporation, where he was CEO and co-founder. Scott has also served of Chief Technology Officer for Computer Network Technology Corporation (now Brocade) and Vice President of Advanced Technology for Conextions, Inc. He is a co-inventor of seven patents and patent applications in the areas of mainframe integration, business process management techniques, automatic business process discovery, advanced analytics techniques and workflow. Scott received his B.S. in Chemistry from Moravian College.
Alex Elkin
Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder
Alex Elkin is a co-founder, CTO and EVP of Altosoft. Prior to starting Altosoft in conjunction with Scott Opitz, Alex was a co-founder and VP of Engineering for IntelliFrame Corporation, one of the first companies to develop a complete suite of BPM and composite application development products. After IntelliFrame's acquisition by webMethods (later acquired by Software AG), Alex spearheaded WebMethods' Advanced Technology Group. Before Intelliframe, Alex was responsible for advanced research at Computer Network Technology (now Brocade). Alex is a co-inventor of eight patents and patent applications. He received his M.S. in Physics and Mathematics from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology.
Kevin Spurway
Chief Marketing Officer
Kevin Spurway joined Altosoft in August 2007 as Chief Marketing Officer, where he is responsible for developing and managing the execution of Altosoft's marketing and business development strategies. Prior to joining Altosoft, Kevin worked at Appian as Vice President of Marketing, helping to grow the company from a small professional services firm to a leading software company in the emerging business process management (BPM) market. Before Appian, Kevin was Vice President of Business Development at Parametric Technology Corporation (PTC), where he was responsible for corporate business development, including acquisitions and strategic partnerships, and later managed one of PTC's five major web-based product lines. Prior to PTC, Kevin worked in investment banking for Merrill Lynch in New York and London, and as an attorney for Ropes and Gray in Boston. Kevin received his B.A. in Economics and Government from Dartmouth College and his J.D. from Harvard Law School.
Alexander Glazunov
General Manager, Eastern European Operations
Alexander is responsible for all Eastern European operations of Altosoft, including management of Altosoft’s 60+ person development team in Saint Petersburg, Russia. Alexander has over ten years of experience managing numerous high-complexity outsourced software development projects for a variety of international companies. Most recently, Alexander worked at Star Software where he successfully built and managed a highly effective, cohesive software development organization and worked closely to manage projects for a number of large international clients. Alexander received his PhD in Computer Science from the Saint Petersburg State Electrotechnical University (LETI).
